+<small>Disclaimer: I know that bots are not sentient beings and that they're just pieces of code that do what they're programmed to do, but I find it hilarious (and mildly infuriating) that things like this exist in the first place.</small>

+I miss the good old days when I didn't have to deal with bots trying to spam my website with requests.
+
+I miss the days when I could just sit back and relax, knowing that the only people visiting my website were actual humans who were genuinely interested in the content I had to offer, and not some automated bot coded by some idiot who made it their life's mission to annoy me.
+
+I'm not going to blur out any IP addresses or anything like that, because I don't care about the privacy of bots or the people who are trying to get into my system. The requests are coming from VPNs and proxies (probably) anyway and most of the time they're also from a rented server somewhere in the cloud (once again, probably).
+
+And don't come at me with that "Oh, but it could be a coincidence!" bullshit, because normal people don't try to access `wp-config.php` or random strings with a `.php` extension.
+
+The thing that fills me with joy the most is when I see something like this degeneracy in my logs:

+I'm genuinely curious, because I can't for the life of me figure out what you're trying to do.

+I in all honesty don't even understand why people create such bots in the first place.

+Is it to annoy people? Does it provide some sort of sexual gratification to the person who created it?

+Do they get off on the fact that they're wasting people's time and resources?

+I don't understand, and I probably never will, but I do know one thing: I hate bots and I hate the people who create them.

+I'm sorry, but if you're one of those people who create bots solely for the purpose of annoying others or causing harm - you're a giant piece of shit and I hope you get arrested.
